Thanks guys, it seems like it took forever to build, but I knew I only had one shot at it. You're right flyboy! The whole time I was building this, I kept thinking how great( and easier) it would have been if 21st had actually made one! :-)

 Wow thats very impressive, You've done a great job on it!!
I see Flying Styro lists most of these planes as 1:13 scale but the B-25 seems much closer to 1:18. :? Are they off?
Beautiful job, I may looking into getting a 110.

You did a great job! Very impressive next to the mustang. It really gives you a sense of the size.

Thanks guys. Normandy, I would say the B-25 is spot on 1:18. I'm not sure why they show as 1:13, I noticed that too.
I ordered the Bf-110C today and hope it is same scale as b-25. Aferg may be able to shed some light on why they show 1:13.
He found them originally.

Looks fantastic!!! I ordered the Flying Styro A-10 kit from them the other day and it just shipped. It is supposed to be pretty spot on 1/18 scale. At least if we never do get a plastic 1/18 scale A-10, I'll have a very decent looking 1/18 scale A-10 in my collection. I wasn't sure about the foam, but after seeing your B-25, I think it will look good.

Really an awesome model...Wonder how heavy a 21st Century version would have been,
say compared to JSI's F14?

Flying Styro pretty much quotes '1:13' for every plane they make, whether they are actually that scale or not. I have no idea why they do that. All of their single seat fighters, the Mosquito, the Me 110 are actually 1/13 or very close. Their Stuka is around 1/15 as is their Ju 88. The B-25 and A-10 are both about 1/17. They don't actually make anything that i'm aware of that is right on 1/18. They used to make an A-7 but it was 1/20 and was a 2 seat trainer version, for some reason.

Their quality is excellent as you can see from CW's fine model.

Oh and for the B-25 there is also a gun nose version available as well as the glass nose. There is no short nosed gun version, with the 75mm gun available though.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

Cool Birdog! Can't wait to see it when it's finished! A-10 is something I've been wanting for a long time as well and if I'd seen it before, I would have ordered it. Will probably be a long time before I finish the Bf-110 so that much longer before I get to order the A-10. Yours will give me inspiration ;-)

Aferg, they should give you a commission ;-). ( you say the Bf-110 is 1:13? Now I really wish I had ordered the A-10 instead! :(

I'll take some pictures of it when it arrives and post them here. It may be a while before I build it, but I'll definitely post the finished product when I do.

Reviewing the deminisions given for it on Flying Styro's website, it is about 1/2 an inch short in length and about 1 inch long in the wingspan for true 1/18 scale, but that's very forgiving in the grand scheme of things.

I didn't realize how big the the B-25 was until you had the Mustang next to it....

CW, is its interior accessible?

I have a Mitchell pilot's manual here... be neat to scan it at Kinko's and scale it down for you so you had an actual scan of the manual for inside the plane. :)

Cool idea, but I sealed up the cockpit as it was always going to hang in my workshop with mustang escorts.

Cw4USARMY - Is there a bomb bay to speak of? I'm guessing not and that there's no break in the fuselage?

You did great work on yours! Looking at their build manual online, it looks like quite a job!
