sculpy question

i have a 1/18 velociraptor, it's very small and delicate. I want to add feathers to it's arms and tail and was going to use sculpy. Normally i boil sculpy but with this being so delicate i'm not sure i want to, plus boiling can alter the colour.

I certainly don't want to bake in the oven. Can i cure it with a blow dryer? The amount of sculpy should be pretty thin. The dryer shouldn't get as hot as boiling water, so less chance of deforming the thin plastic and it shouldn't discolour either.

I have used Super Sculpey before but I always baked it. I am not sure if a blow dryer will work. Here is another sculpting media you could look into. I have some but I haven't tried it yet. However, I know of several action figure customizers that use it with great results. They place it directly on the figures they are working on and once it cures they are able to sand and paint as though it was an original part of the figure.

i looked it up and you can't use a hair dryer. Drat. I think i will use sculpy anyway. I will heat it with the dryer and that will toughen it a bit. Over time it dries out anyway. I'll just paint over the uncured sculpy and it will probably be fine, as long as it's not handled, which the arms and tail where i'm putting the feathers won't need to be.

Could you leave the raptor in a hot water cupboard overnight to dry it out?
