I am currently working on a custom 1/32 sdkfz 233. Example:
I am using a Monogram 1/32 sdkfz 232 as the vehicle base and the gun and mount from the FOV 251/9 stummel. I have hit a bit of a snag though.
As you can see the vehicle is an open topped vehicle, and I am going to have to build an interior lest it look retarded. I have everything pretty much figured out except I need to use some kind of tread plate to make the interior flooring of the vehicle accurate. Does anyone have a good source for 1/35 scale German vehicle interior tread plate. I know I cannot be the first person in history to request such a thing, so I know it has to exist, I just can't seem to locate it. I'm going to give my local hobby shop owner a call and see what he can tell me, but any help from any of you guys here would be greatly appreciated!

I looked into Plastruct but it seems like nothing they have is really even close to 1:32 scale. The closest I could find in the plastruct stuff was 1/48 or 1/24 scale stuff, which as you know is going to be too big or too small just enough to be noticeable. I am going to head to a local model train store tomorrow sometime and check out the stuff in person before I rule them out. Who knows, once I see the stuff in person I may find out it works rather nicely.

Well to be honest that nonskid deck would be impossible to see if it were true 1/32 scale.
So 1/48 could work.
They have that type of deck on those 1/350 scale battleships and the like. If you were to scale those lugs up from the model they would be about 8 feet tall.

Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller

Funny you said that PH, as I went to my local model railroad emporium today and found that 1/48 Plastruct stuff suitable. What I tried to do was envision how much my foot would cover in 1:1 scale and then imagined a little 1/32 guy's foot on the stuff I was looking at and 1/48 tread plate seemed about right. Now, on to the next stage!
