I've picked up a few of the current wave of GI Joe figures to use as parts for custom figures. Question: How do you open the torso? On the older GI Joes, there was a little phillips head screw in the top of the back that held the two halves of the torso together. I see a hexagonal hole in the back of the current figures, but there doesn't seem to be any kind of fastener in there. Any clues?

I'd use a hammer, just give it a good.......
No just kidding. Do you have any allen keys?
ah but you say there doesn't seem to be any fastener.

see if one of the allen keys fits its worth a try. I don't have any of these newer joes so it a shot in the dark.

It's definitely not a hex-nut. It's just a hexagonal hole. I can't see anything inside at all -- just empty space. But that's clearly where the two halves of the upper torso join ...
... frustrating.

Is it possible that the two half's of the torso snap together?

Use a screwdriver and carefully pry the pieces apart, I did this without breaking anything on the outside of the fig. You will have to glue the halves back together when you're done.

Wow -- well, that explains why everything I've tried isn't working. Going to start hammering now ...
Thanks!
