1:18 Jagdpanther - Tricolor

Post by grunt1 » Sat Aug 21, 2010 3:11 pm

This one has been on my bench for a while and I finally got focused enough to finish her up. This was a JSI Panther upon which I added The Hun's Jagdpanther kit.

Well done Grunt, Your Jagdpanther looks great.
I must say for any of you who can't wait for all-go's Jagdpanther the Hun's kit is fantastic.

Thanks guys. The paint scheme was taken from one of the 1:32 Jagdpanthers from 21st Century. The Hun's kit was pretty easy to work with. The hardest part was sanding down the sides so it still looked like on piece of steel.

Next up is the Hun's Stug kit which also looks really good. I found one of those knock-off Panzer IV's made from the 21st Century molds to use as the base so I can now get started.

Just in case you haven't already noticed, the knock-off is different than the 21st mold in some areas such as width. Not sure if it would affect how the kit fits but it's worth checking before you start. Some comparison pics on my webshots here.

Jagd looks awesome, gives me some motivation to get working on my scratchbuilt again. :D
