honestly, i have tied the gears together with fishing line to keep them from bowing out. they look the same to me no real difference even the pegs are the same and still come out, the fishing line seems to help alot though, but overall it looks great. on to the next scheme. we going from tomcatters to tophatters, say that ten times fast! i think this will turn out to be a great scheme as well!

Re: VF-31 BANDWAGON TOMCAT SPECIAL EDITION
This jet, VF-31 101 is sitting in front of Grumman headquarters here in Bethpage NY.
She's exactly 3 blocks from my house! I watched her fly in to Republic Airport here on Long Island in 2006, stood there as she taxied in, and burnt off all fuel. Saw the pilot drape the American Flag over the cockpit front, and cry as he retired the F-14 Tomcat for good, that being the last official Naval Flight for the Tomcat.
You did a remarkable job on this rendition of good ol' 101. VERY well done.
Now I don't know if it matters to you BUT as she stands at parade rest, she has Sidewinder, Sparrow, and Phoenix Missles only on her, which is the original weapons configuration for the F-14 Tomcat.
All "Bombcat" additions like Flir and Laser guided missles are not present on her.
Just in case you wanna be exact to how she was retired, there you go.
Not saying I don't dig this, because I absolutely love it. You just seem like a stickler for detail like me lol.
