It's too late and I got to post these quick B-4 the I turn into a pumpkin
I finished the back corner of the Dio, placing the backdrops in behind the flak gun to behind the guard tower connecting it to the tree backdrop.
- This was no easy task
How about a couple Before and after pic.s ....
Before -
and after ...
I also detailed up the 88 emplacement too ...
Then there's a couple "Fun" shots too
Always so much to do and sooo little time

Hey Capt'n,
The searchlight is the one that came on the Lionel Large scale(G scale) floodlight car. It DOES work !!!! I just don't have it wired up right now. I am fortunate to have 2 of them. I also use the Lionel floodlights from their floodlight tower(O scale) as searchlights in my guard towers and they too work

can you buy the floodlight from the floodlight car by itself, without buying the whole car?

I'm not sure if you can get the light by itself, but I bought the cars on Evil bay years ago, then removed the lights and gave the flatcars to my grandson

To find parts for these cars would be hard, so I guess you have to get the whole car

Not sure of the floodlight tower, I think it was made in the 80s.

how much did you pay for the cars and how would you power the light, now that it's no longer getting power from the train track?

I think I paid somewhere between $50 -$80 for the cars each back when. Each light has about 3 feet of wire attached to it, so I guess that each stationary light will be powered by a transformer under the table.
I am working on re-working an LGB floodlight car and I will post on it when I get done with the retrograde job that makes it look more 1940ish style with an older type of spotlight.

Me too! I would love some rotating searchlights to shine on my planes at night!

General Blasto,
Can you have the lights off and turn the spot lights on? I think it would be cool to see your display like that

Hey ram04 and everyone,
I hope to get to the point where everything is wired and set up so I can take some tripod shots on the "bulb" setting with the digicam. It would look real cool I should think, exp. the bridge with it's overhanging light fixtures. It will happen someday, be patient !!! There is alot to work on, but little time to do it. I shot those pic.s of the backdrop as I worked into the wee hours of the night/morning and I got in trouble with the wife too

So I got to cut it off earlier from now on. Stay tuned as I said, there's lots more to come
