Airbrushes which one?

Post by conteaddict » Thu Nov 19, 2009 3:29 pm

Ive been looking into getting an airbrush and was wondering if anyone here had an opinion on which they feel is the best double action to get? Im debating between an aztek a740 or a badger renegade spirit which is better or is there somthing out thats better thn both? thanks for your time.

It really depends on what you are willing to spend. The Aztek is a good beginners airbrush, but can be tricky to get clean properly and replacing the tips if you don't get it clean can get annoying. I started out with the Aztek, and once I figured out I liked airbrushing, I bought an Iwata. The Iwata is a superior airbrush all the way around and if you have a Hobby Lobby in your town, you can get it very reasonably priced if you use their 40% off internet coupon. I also recommend getting a hobby compressor.

I bought an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS and never looked back. Very easy to clean and use.

Sound advice all the way around, dittos on the compressor. If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, they have an eclipse clone for $15.

And, the 40% off coupon is up this week! If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, now is the chance to get an airbrush REALLY cheap!
