Any 1/18 Rooskie helmets?

Post by hotrodrock » Tue May 19, 2009 2:16 pm

There are several figures that can be repainted to make passable Russian figures. Has anyone here ever molded any Russian helmets or fur hats? Would love to have some.

What you should be asking is if Pickle will make them.

Yes, I tried taking the Golden Compass Russian guy and cut his tall hat down to regular size. I turned out okay. What is really needed is a material russian "Elmer Fudd" flap hat.

for fur hats the old big ben or whiteout figure has a good one....the ones that came in a 2 pack.

For helmets i've used the gi joe memorial keychain figures marine and soldier. They are supposed to be wearing american helmets but they are not well sculpted and can pass as russian.

I've seen the Big Ben figures but I thought the hats were molded to the heads. They are removable? Or do you mean you used the whole figure as a Russian.

i use the whole head. The hat can be cut off but it's hard plastic and a bit of a chore to do.

Yes, I did try trimming down some cobra helmets, but I think they came out looking more Italian like than Russian.
