Sgt. Slaughter

Post by General Blasto » Tue May 05, 2009 7:03 am

Ok, so I've been away for awhile, and then horridably busy getting caught up from the past 2 weeks gone. But I've just completed a custom figure, and he ain't a Hun for once too  Meet our newest Hero, Sgt Slaughter

Image

This guy was just too easy to make.
I used a 21st C US 30 cal. MGer and the head off of the newest series(series 6) of the WWE westling figures suprisingly enough "Sgt Slaughter" to complete my figure.

Now this re-enlisted old Battle Ax of a DI looks like he's about ready to tear your young greenhorn grunts a new A**hole

Image

And he's got that A** rippin' look about him too

Dang I love it when I can make these soooo easily 8)

Blasto! Good to see you back. I like this custom. He looks a little like the ol' Gunny from "Mail Call".
Good job.
You need to have him standing over some new recruits making them do pushups or something.

It seems Sgt Slaughter has been demoted to Private. I love this custom and need to find one of those figures as well.

Ok you guys figured that one out. I was going to go thru my extra body parts and swap out the arms with that of a technical sargent  Just thought I could do a couple quick picks to show the head on the body, my bad  Oh well, think of the arms with the 3+1 stripes on the arms ;)

Yes there was one 21st C Sgt that had the 1st lower stripe. I think he was a tanker figure and had a "T" in the area between the upper 3 stripes and the lower 1 stripe. I know I had some in the 2nd box of "arms and legs. etc." parts. I just have to find that box that's buried somewhere in the hobby room :?

Nice custom.

I do find it unfortunate though that the name Sgt. Slaughter is associated with profesional wrestling.

There is a real life WWII hero named Bob Slaughter who happend to be a sargeant. He was an army ranger and went ashore on Omaha beach. His is an incredible story if you get the chance read his book. "Omaha Beach and Beyond: The Long March of Sargeant Bob Slaughter".

Cool!

He looks very much like my old Scoutmaster: kahki uniform, hat, sunglasses, moustache, attitude and all :P
