V-1 Launcher

Post by gburch » Sat Apr 18, 2009 6:11 am

Has anyone ever considered doing a V-1 launcher using the Pegasus model? There are lots of reference photos at the bottom of this page:

I did not do the launcher but I did the launcher dolly.

The launching rail would be about 48 inches long I think or maybe longer.

I've been planning on making one. I'm just waiting to get the V-1 first.

(Or borrow one from a certain someone...) :P

iirc the launch ramp was about 100 feet, so that would be about 6 feet long.

I think the best way to do this as a diorama and not have it be 6 feet long is to do it as forced prospective dio......... :? :?:
Look at the pic in Mitch's post... if you take Pickel's dolly and the V-1 and put them in the foreground (closest to the viewer) and make the ramp/rail what ever we're going to call it, get smaller as it gets further away from the viewer that would give the illusion needed to make this 1:18th dio smaller then if the entire thing was to scale.

It does look that way in that pic.

Its all an illusion...... But way Cool.

Good thinking normandy, I was planning on making it about 4 feet long.

No big deal if it's a bit short... :)
