Anybody use this photo etched screen.

Post by hotrodrock » Sun Jan 18, 2009 9:41 am

Was wondering if anyone has used this type material for screens over the inlets and engine grills on armored vehicles. It comes in several different patterns. Guess you just cut to size. If anyone has used it, how does it look and is it hard to cut.

Is anyone making their own screens or is the ready made photo-etched items the way to go/

Hey brother!!! I work with them a time or 2!!! They work pretty good for what you stated below!!! Most cuts pretty good---just go slow so not to mash or over cut!!! I have had some that was thicker and I cut it with some tin-snips---which was not a problem!!!You might have some trouble at 1st but its nothing you cant overcome after working with it for a min. or 2!!! Let me know how it turns out for you brother!!! ---RED---
