Anyone purchased and/or played the game World in Conflict?
I love that game...anyways for those who aren't familiar with the game, the plot depicted the Red Army invading the United States mainland through Seattle. Now since the war was fought on American soil, I figured it would include American civilian/agricultural vehicles too.
My idea: someone who actually has 1/32 or 1/18 cars and farm vehicles can make a dio, depicting an M1 or Bradley defending the homeland. Or, an Apache/Blackhawk base set in a lonely cornfield in the Mid-West.
I got this inspiration from the many 1/32 farm products, and 1/18 die-cast cars out there on the market. Who said military dios had to be restricted to certain brands only?
As for me, I'm getting some wood, the 1/18 FoV Abrams, some Maisto cars, and start work right away.
Any thoughts?

Here's a thought:
I wish I'd have thought of it.
I stick with mainly modern, and am working on an Iraq diorama. I'm having a hard time finding civilian vehicles in 1:32 that will fit in well. Sports cars are out there, but not ideally suited to an Iraqi street scene. Some American trucks and so forth exist, but they're a bit out of place in Iraqi.
I'm going to file your idea away for future use, as I'm operating on a "no new projects until I finish some of the old" rule at the moment. Good luck with it, and be sure to post some pics, as will I once I get far enough along to make it interesting.

I've looked at the game, kinda reminded me of Op.Flashpoint. I've picked it up looked at it, put it down atleast a hundred times since it came out...just not sure if I would like a modern combat game, which is also why I failed to get CloseCombat:Marines
right now I am spending time on the Xbox with Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood(just got it this week, so I can play the 2nd chapter before Hell's Highway comes out)..this and the Halo series are the only first person shooters I can stand..and I think Brothers > Halo in all catergories.
and on the PC, it's still CloseCombat 2 A bridge too Far(one of the few games I can never tire of, I just wish CC III,IV and V could have been as good), Combat Mission:Afrika Korps and HPS's Battle of the Bulge '44 and Salerno '43...both of which take a eon to complete but are done very well.
