Repainting "Berlin Express"

Post by RAD 2112 » Sun Dec 09, 2007 2:01 pm

Ironically, I would like to repaint my P-51C "Berlin Express" to the "Old Crow" with invasion stripes scheme.

Usually I use Tamiya paint for my models.
But before I started, I was wondering what paint matched 21c paint the best.
I'm hoping I don't have to repaint the whole fuselage.

Thanks!

I've always wondered that question myself regarding the type of paint 21st century uses. I've found that Model Master enamels comes the closest. Sometimes I've had to add white to lighten in order to get as close as possible. Never had to darken in order to match. Lucky on that. Darkening is tough.

I find that painting the whole thing makes a world of difference!

you might want to hold off on doing it.......Old Crow is a very likely repaint to be released in the future by 21c.
