Razor Sharp Teeth

Post by General Blasto » Thu Sep 27, 2007 4:51 am

Another title could be - "Who let the dogs out" :P
Poor quality I know and I didn't put the field packs on the men either ( my bad  ) But here would be my 1st attempt at a full scale patrol with guard dogs. I found the dogs at Michaels craft store as I was waiting for Deb to get off work. They looked the right size, so I bought some ;) I did one custom in black and one in partial black. Almost every Peadot figure has a different head.

What I need is more MP-40s for my guards. The rifles are sooo WWI I think. Every German (almost) should have an MP-40 :)

I will restage this scene later with more scenery and full packs on the
men and maybe some more dogs too. The General

Nice.

Depending on the type of patrol, the rifle would be a preferred weapon. If you're looking to do a perimeter patrol, the MP-40 might be more predominant, but rifles would still be included. There's nothing like having the capability to reach out and touch someone.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

actually K98k for rear guards are more fitting that Mp38/40s...The idea that every german had a burp gun is hollywood.

Also if you wanted to add firepower..you could add Mp41(Designed for Police over Combat) Mp34, Mp28,

Also Captured Rifles and weapons made there way into security forces, along with weapons deemed unsuited for front line use(MG-13 or ZB26(t)) used by anti-partisan forces.

I think the kar98 k is fine. What would happen if a guy got out of range for the mp40 :)

agreed, the rifles are far more fitting for the germans. Normally, only NCO's and officers had MP40's. MP 44's were always in short supply and were usually given priority for SS and other elite units and only on the front lines. What would look super duper cool is german's in great coats, with the dogs; most with rifles, maybe one with an MP40.

It's in the Soviet army where submachine guns were issued en masse. Most of the regular soldiers had them, and interspursed were troops with rifles, heavy mg's, anti tank rifles etc.
