M-134 / MK25 MOD 0 Gatling gun - Scale 1:18

Post by MiG29K » Wed Sep 19, 2007 8:53 pm

First off, Birddog was highly instrumental in making this thing a reality. Without the reference material he had found, this project would have not been possible. His contribution significantly cut down on some major R&D time (The toughest part of any custom and about 80 percent of such work, I think). Perhaps he envisioned this more badly that I did! A tremendous THANKS goes out to him!

nice molding job

Post by General Blasto » Thu Sep 20, 2007 2:13 pm

Looks like a nice cool construction ;) A few decades later than my modeling era though  But still a nice addition to your model :) If you could semi mass produce them, it'd be a little extra $$$ in your pocket to help buy more models 8) General Blasto

So cool, it's Ice Cold.

Now you and Birddog should get together and mass produce a mini gun upgrade kit to suit the Huey’s and save the rest of us far lazier individuals all the hard work

Hey Spud-meister - Thank you and hey... you are the graphics master! I haven't missed the beat on your excellent work. Who knows what other projects you have hidden down under. I tell you if distance werent' an issue, I think there is more than enough resources amongst a lot of us on this forum to give some toy companies a run for their money. Hopefully I might run into more people this weekend up at Model Show in Canada - maybe influential types who may know a thing or two about mass production. Maybe we'll get lucky eh? I have to catch up with your latest work ...and...

V2MAN! - Thank you for your comments - I hear you gonna be judging a diorama contest! Should be interesting man!

Warhawker - I don't even know how I do it. My mind thinks 20 steps ahead even before I put Knife to plastic. When I think of something...my imagines the process from start to finish in about 60 seconds...kind of like a time warp.

75th Ranger... A HooAH! to you man and thanks

VMF115 - My homie up in the Dakotas Woot Woot- Works been kickin my butt over and over and I still gotta call. Thanks!

RED- My bro down in Georgia... Thanks man - To another guy who's work leaves us in awe!

ALF- hey dude, 'ALF' is scheduled to ride the Helo some time next week! I'll keep you posted.

Black Lion VF213- For the gun: I used Testor's Flat Black - 2.97 at WalMart!

Hey General Blasto! Thank you as well and look forward to seeing more of your work

Birdizzzy dizzzy dizzzawg. I'm hollering at my boy for all that material you hooked me up with. Good lookin out again!

Lastly....Things you may not know by looking at the gun....

1. The Gun barrel ACTUALLY rotates (spins)
2. It traverses and rotates on all axis
3. The pivoting track slides laterally
4. There is probably over 70 pieces to this gun
5. The muzzle suppressor was at one point a solid piece of plastic.
(I used a large drill bit to hand-bore the suppressor-causing blisters to my fingers)

Thanks to all again. I say I'm gonna quit but I never learn.

Girlz with Gunz... Now that's HOT!!!

Meet the Air Force's first aerial gunner... She likes long walks on the beach...guys who arent afraid to cry and puppies.

Her dislikes include: Feed Tray stoppages, Tracer Flareout of her NVGs, and premature fixed-wing strikes scattering her high-value targets. - Yep, you heard right!
