And as warm as this winter has been through this general region, that becomes a valid threat! Of course, most winters, it would like getting hit with rocks, so they would still be a hazard, just smelly instead of painfulaferguson wrote:actually Jason, i've had some eggs sitting in the sun for a few weeks with your name written all over them...

Aferg, some cactus' are a good option too, or toss an angry rabid cat.
I can lend you my pet rabbit, it has some big claws on it, but only if you return it in living condition.

Man, it is still out there! I dont know if I have the will to go back and try and look for it again. Its like looking for that one remaining assembly piece to a new bike that you missed on X-mas morning among all of the torn wrapping paper all over the floor! Who cares if the bike wobbles a bit or makes a screeching sound, its still a bike. Whatever AT comes out with, I know that I will buy it even if I can not win it!As a side note, the hint I spoke of in a thread some time ago, still has not been guessed.

1=1 of its kind
G'night=Knighthawk
1=F117
I'm thinking either that or F-111G, which flew missions at night, has a G and 3 1's
Or Grumman F-14 Tomcat which flew missions day or night

Shin's wishlist for 1/18 and 1/32 with retractable landing gear and more:
F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle

Something to add to the F-111G / F-14 line of thought...... the F-111 was originally designed as a fighter that the USAF, AND the Navy could fly. It has been said that the Ardvark was too underpowered and lacked the performance required for shipborne operation, therefore Grumman went back to the drawing board and the F-14 was the result.
There could be a connection here, maybe.
Oh how I would love a Tomcat in 1/18 scale....... certainly worthy of a "multiple purchase".

Wasn't there also problems found with the structural design of the F-111's landing gear not holding up to carrier landing standards?USCGSARdog wrote:Something to add to the F-111G / F-14 line of thought...... the F-111 was originally designed as a fighter that the USAF, AND the Navy could fly. since this a written clue we can assume it's a 1/18 scale clue.
i think obscurity levels will be very high.

Sorry about the two post. They are not hints. Here is your first hint of the 1:32 scale aircraft. I will begin the post for the 1:18 in a couple of weeks.
Once again this aircraft is 1:32 scale.

Regards,
Jason

Yes, it is the same aircraft I mentioned in a edited post, so no cheating.

No so much good, as an anomaly. Something musta stuck from the cramming I did last month. Usually my retraining starts daily, when I wake up, beginning with tying my shoes. That used to lead to some interesting conversations when I showed up to work, at least until the folks involved realized there was no entertainment value since I had no idea what they were talking about!
...and more aircraft is always a good idea.

Yes as several of you know, it is a 1:32 scale Corsair. This model has a lot of work yet to be done. First the cowling is wrong and will be modified. We might try to give the purchaser a choice between open cowling flaps or closed. This model has both on it, for my reference during mods. Picture it with only one and you will get a good idea of what the production version will look like.
Hope you enjoy, even if it is 1:32. I know the competition already has a Corsair in this scale. But we had this finished a year ago. We just did not start with production because of cost considerations. But we have the prototype almost finished so why not at least show the model. I have noted several times that this scale is not a guarantee. We are not sure if production will happen or not.
Regards,
Jason

I like what I see, it would also appear that you have added some rudimentary internal details at the wing fold area.
Oh and the idea of providing both open and closed cowl flaps is a winner in my book.
When AT becomes readily available in Australia you have definite customer here. However currently the only retailer I know of that carries your products in my neck of the woods is a specialist store and they are very $$$$ indeed. Here's hoping the 1/32nd stuff may be more acceptable to the general model and hobby outlets.

Surprising statement.....i thought 1/32 was the 'golden boy' of the hobby world.
It does look pretty sharp. I'm sure the tiny toy people would love to see it made. Maybe modify it into a late version Corsair? Lots of demand for that (in both scales).

What no online shopping or no international service from US based etailers?When AT becomes readily available in Australia you have definite customer here. G'day scbvideoboy
Yes there is but the postage can triple the cost, on top of that AU$1.00 is only US$0.76 (and that’s on a good day) so this makes 1/32 and 1/18 scale items very expensive.
As for the specialist retailers well the 21stCT 1/32 262 retails at AU$70+ which is about US$55. The 21stCT 1/18 Mustang is AU$165 or $US129 and the jets well they are AU$225 and up about US$175 so you can see that you need to be pretty die hard to collect down here.
I recently picked up a 1/32 Fw190D on eBay for US$14.95 (a bargain), but once you add the post of US$20.80 the total cost to me is US$35.75 or AU$46 and remember this was a cheap one.
I'd love to be able to go into a normal retail store and buy a 1/32 plane for US$25 which would be AU$32 but I do not see that happening, maybe I'll be proved wrong but I will not be holding my breath.
