TKO Roy said that 21st would be willing send Old Crow decals to those who want one for the other side of the engine cowling. Is 21st going to do this or not? Any updates about that?

TKO,

Any chance of getting an update on the Platoon figures? I know the Xd guys are busy with all the planes, but let's hope they don't forget the guys on the ground.

And any news if they are going to San Diego ComicCon this year?

Sorry for not being around as much the last few weeks. Been super super busy. Lets get to some answers.

for Normandy: No more new on the KT at this time. Roy said that we sould see the 88 in plastic first shots any day now. So both are very close

for Morian: Platoon stuff is actually going along. This set will feature the new thinking of the future of the 1:18 figs, so due to keeping that under wraps we have not been shown any of the new pictures yet. We will see these this year and most likely soon.

For Sabrefan: Kinda thought we would have seen that one by now as well. The Bunker Hill Avenger will come out for sure it's just a matter of what is going on behind the scenes.

for MM: I do believe that we will get that decal. He is in Hong Kong right now so I can't ask him to get a positive answer. I will say that Roy usually won't open up an idea to the fans if he didn't think he could pull it off.

For SGT. Saunders: Britt troops... Oh they are a must have in my book! I have no information to confirm or deny the exsistance of british troops in 1:18. Here is what I do know... the 1:18 figs sell well, 21c is making more, They can't resist the opportunity to make some britts for too much longer in my mind.

The German figures are always sold out at every Wal-Mart I go to. You may see many US, but the Axis power sells more for army builders. I wonder if that is part of the "new" distibution going on. Sell and make more of the figs, that always sell out and make less of the common peg holders.

Jason there is one thing that you sliped by us. What was the deal with the modeler who had the Me 262 in model form. Again was he your brother in law or something. How do I get on the team? I want a 1/18 262 model to. Were do I sign up? Whos lawn do I have to mow or would they prefer a car wash? Maybe an oil change? Capture a terrorist? Make amends with Jane Fonda? OK, leave that last one out. How?

Thanks tko. It looks like Vexallarus decals or however you spell that name has come out with Old Crow decals as well.

I want to ask you tko what is it with 21st not putting swastikas on their airplanes? I noticed BBD dont have swastikas and neither does Old Crow. Whats the deal with that?

For pickelhaube: The Me 262 in Model Form was a one of a kind sort of deal. I believe that it was provided by the 21st product development team to this model maker as a "what it we did this" project... The model maker is someone that I think Roy is friends with or something. I know that part of the reason was to get a fair opinion on the overall shape and level of detail. If I remember correctly it was a good review.

Considering it was looked at from a professional model maker perspective and that it he was impressed the new ME-262. Could we see this in kit form someday... perhaps. I don't know much more than that.

Hope that helps

I have a question tko. Wasnt Big Beautiful Doll supposed to come in a special edition box? A freind of mine said the other day that he heard it was supposed to but 21st changed their minds about it at the last minute. It was also supposed to be one of the new tool Mustangs to have the opening gun lockers as well right or wrong? My freind passed on the Doll because of these things. Maybe you can clarify this tko. Either way money permitting I'm gonna get BBD.

Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

I received a while back my Big Beautiful Doll from Bad Cat. The box was no different; exact same as the Ridge Runner, Petie, etc boxes. The plane was just the same as the previous ones except now it has straight props and black tires as opposed to gray, and a worse quality level of paint. I've been disappointed so far with it.

The paint issues with BBD that I have been hearing about are the biggest reasons why I have held off on buying it. Old Crow has the most perfect paint job, next to HHH from BBI, that I have seen with the Mustang series. It seems to me BBD was rushed thats why the paint job seems to have problems. Its sad really because BBD has a beautiful paint scheme. But as soon as money permits I will take a gamble and get one because it will be my last Mustang purchase. Then its Hellcat time!
