You guys aren't looking at the other pic of the windscreen Jason posted. If you look at it you can see it's not a Kate. The windscreen has too many frames.

That looks like the front windscreen for a Zero (or perhaps a Texan). AT was working on a Zero and even had the prototype moulds out a long while back. It appears to be different from the windscreen in the other photos on this thread...

I'm not going to make a final guess as to what the new plane is, however. It's still to wishy-washy. Nonetheless, when AT finally unveils it, the aircraft should be pretty cool!

holy crap man.....those are two different pictures of windscreens. I thought the second was just a larger version of the first.

It's a kate then.....100% for sure.

Yippie!

It'll be about 22 inches by 33 inches.....approaching the Avenger in size. Nice. I hope it comes with a full three man crew (even though the figures are Admiral figures).

Kate will be so sweet. Impressive looking and will go great with the PH Zero and all the other PT goodies out and soon to come. Really a great choice. I know I said I would forfeit figs if it made life easier on the AT but I'm with Aferg - 3 is a lot of empty seats....even static figs to sit in the cockpit would be enough. Try finding 1 extra Zero pilot let alone 3..

Btw, has anyone disected this hint?
Here is your hint: “not a lot of people have requested “them,” all of the aircraft are pretty “far” off the radar.

The most important part of that last post was the sentence after the hint: I, myself, am not sure what the hint means. That is the truth.

Finally I still say we will see the Skyraider as well. Fits the bill of AC that saw numerous wars, would be damn cool in 1:18, and let's not forget Jason said they are doing a 1:18 piece for a museum/foundation. Months before he dropped that he was going to speak with the folks at Galveston (LSFM I presume) to discuss one of their AC. Guess what they have in their stable (Yes, they have a Dauntless too)? 8)

All that said AT does seem to have a ton in the works:
Zero
F-5
Kate
A-1/other

OK, I'll offer a lame guess.

I'm thinking people are right and this is a Kate. So how can we support this using the clues we've been given?

There are a couple of statements that jump out at me:

1) "Ladies and Gentlemen."

This "three word" statement is a phrase frequently heard on the Seinfeld TV show, I think. Could it be Jason is a Seinfeld fan? Maybe...

So, next we turn to Seinfeld scripts to see if anything can be gleaned there.

2) "My lips are sealed."

This parting statement is made as a character walks out of a scene in a fan-written script appropriately entitled, "The Fetish". (http://www.seinology.com/fanfic/fetish.shtml)

The character's name? Kate.

I know it's kinda contrived to be reverse-engineering clues from an assumed answer, but it was fun trying. :)

P.S. Happy Birthday, Jason!

no offense to Jason but i think we're giving him a bit too much credit by dissecting the words he has typed and reading all these convoluted, obscure and subtle meanings into them. Sort of reminds me of when i was in school and we would spend an entire class analysing a few words of Shakespere and the teacher would come up with hidden meaning after hidden meaning after hidden meaning. No way he (Shakespere) intended all that....i know he was a bright guy, but come on..

It will be interesting to find out what the hint Jason is referring to, was. I bet we all groan..

Happy Birthday today, Jason. I hope you find some time to kick back and enjoy the day. :birthday_cake

OK, here is my guess of the day in a new direction.
I am assuming that the photos that Jason released are NOT part of the guessing plane.
The hint is in the thread between Jason and VMF115 concerning the ME-262
viewtopic.php?t=3086&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=580
Where VMF115 asks, "Is this correct" - three word hint
Jason responses with, "VMF115, yes, that is still a safe bet."
The new plane is the Jabo version!

Thank you all for the well wishes and happy B-days. It is much appreciated.

Aferg is correct. I wish I was as smart as some of you have made me out to be. The hint dissections have been incredible. I wish some of those are what I intended as the hint. That would make me pretty darn intellectually agile.

Here is your final photo clue before tomorrows reveal:

Image

And just because it is my B-day, here is another picture from me to you., un regalo

Now that makes it pretty darn simple to guess! :D

Regards,
Jason

So it is a Kate, and with folding wings no less! My fiancee's dad will get such a kick out of this airplane.

Well, I was hoping it could be an FW-190, but I'll be one of the first to order the Kate! Very nice supplement to the WWII collection!
