G'day Razor

I just happy to help out as best I can, I have read every single post that Jason has written prior to thes last two threads and come up with nothing, this is probably because i have never been good at the cryptic style of clue.

The truth be known I'm probably just helping Jason out by pushing things off in the wrong direction, as I have said I assuming a hell of a lot with my illustraion and it may turn out that images may be of the same plane (except that folded wing picture) but not from the same original picture.

Anyway I have used my imagination a little bit more to add some of the missing details as I peceive them.

Great Montage Spud. That helped a lot! It has to be a Kate. Compare Spud's montage with this model. The windshield says it all...

VMF115, you of all people should be able to find the hint. You are smart like that. I have faith in your abilities. Do not give up. It is right under your nose.

Regards,
Jason

I know you all are going to want to kill me when I show you the actual hint I intend. You are going to say. %&#* BEEPING Jason. How were we supposed to associate that hint with the aircraft? So maybe you should give up.
You will find out soon.

Tomorrow is my birthday. Maybe I will give you all a gift.
Wait that is backwards! “No gift for you!”

Regards… again,
Jason

Happy birthday Jason, you can drop in to Australia on your way home (not that far off the track is it) and I’ll gladly shout you a beer or two, I understand its currently about 2°C in China at the moment (my manager has just returned from there yesterday), its is far warmer here even in the south although a tad smakey due to all the bush fires burning at present.

Thank you all for your comments, as I said that I’m not big on the cryptic stuff, so I have to use the skills I have.

Has any body else noticed the Nakajima B5N (Kate) does not appear to have a Japanese name unlike the B6N Tenzan (Jill), Ki-43 Hayabusa (Oscar) etc, etc….. This may be a clue in itself, I think that someone else has already made a note of the following but “B”, “Five” and “N” are a three name and one name type of name.

Well I have to admit I've given up guessing since I"m so far off anyway. I was also at first disapointed as well a japanese aircraft? No A-10? Sigh. But as I think of it and look at these. I really like the idea. An F-5 made up to look like a top gun aircraft would be great. And the pictures of the Kate in action are quite thrilling. I'm looking forward to whats ahead now. But I'm still not giving up the fact that I still think an A-10 has to be made.

VMF115, I can give you a hint of what is coming next year. We will have a couple of aircraft in 1:18 and a couple of tanks/guns/vehicles in 1:72 scales. The aircraft (which I am assuming you are most interested in) are all new to this market. No company has manufactured them before. You will be surprised because they are not your standard sure sale items. We will take a risk or two this coming year. I think there are plenty of P-51s, F-4Us and the like, available to the market. We just might go out on a branch and offer you some aircraft that would not be manufactured by the others. We are not in the business of stepping on other’s toes, and would like to produce aircraft that would not be on their list of planes to manufacture. I can say that two of these aircraft are well on their way to production. You will learn more about these aircraft in the next couple of months. Sorry, but this is all I can say. Regards,
Jason

Not really sure what the plane is but I’m sticking with a Japanese plane, probably the Kate.

Sorry Jackson

I already quoted that one in the old thread, and since then Jason has said that the clue has not yet been found.

Here's a long shot...........

Jason wrote (I should write for Trojan).

The Trojan was designed as a F-86 trainer so cockpit layout is very simular to the Sabre?

wild guess

Post by JimBob55 » Wed Dec 20, 2006 7:43 pm

I'm convinced it is a B5N2 Kate. There has been much great detective work in this forum.

Jason, my wild guess at your hint was way back on Sept 18th when you where talking about a Japanese tank, the Type 97.

"On a side note:

Here is a master model of the Type 97 Shi Ki tank from Japan. "

Well, the Kate was also known as a Type 97 torpedo bomber.

As I said, a wild guess. :? :D
