I can't see a thing, anyway, paint imperfections are a lucky dip, I have some lovely fingerprints on my paintwork and horrible glue messes on some planes, forget about it.

Hi Mike! Never thought of that, but a stand like the 1/6 would be great!!! Or something that a boot could fit into to put them in a running or walking pose! Plus, if you guys could put one more bit of articulation in the hip (like the Power Team 1:18 figures have) would just be AWSOME!! Otherwise, it seems that more and more people here are switching to just bbi figures only!! bbi is doing a FANTASTIC job with their line of figures!! And we all want MORE!!!

With Avenger now out by 21st will we see a Hellcat? "Wait and See" is the same old line I hear all the time and frankly I'm giving up on seeing an F6F by BBI because all I ever hear is "wait and see".

Well at least I can get an Avenger now that they are out and thats just what I'll do.

Re: WotW Romans Question

Post by markecho » Sun Jul 30, 2006 7:04 am

Hi Mike...since you have been away I just wanted to ask this question again...
markecho wrote:Hello Mike,
I just saw BBi's/Merits display of a testudo formation at AWOH and that got me hooked!
I am in the process of ordering a bunch S1 Romans but my main army builder figure would be something similar to this:
Image
(K&C roman)

Any chance of this pose being made in your BBi WotW Roman line? Basically it could be used to make companies/centuries of troops.

I also saw the new Series 2 preview (calvary, officer, chariot, pilum thrower, catapult) and they all look great!
Please keep up the great work...maybe throw in some minor artiuclation (ok ok...I know I won't be pushy!)

Thanks again!
mark
Hopefully something like this will be on the horizon? Of course without the base though. I am glad your figures do not have bases!

Just wondering if this kind of pose will be made.

Thanks
It is the dang toy companies that have sometimes made me want to stop collecting toys!!!

Mike,

Others have said it repeatedly but this is my first post to you so I'll say it again my own way. Thanks for participating in these forums and for all you guys have done for this hobby. I sit typing this surrounded by every helicopter you've released. :-)

Anyway, not sure if you saw my other post about the new SSHQ Database. It's located at http://www.sshqdb.com

I'm attempting to (with lots of help) put together a catalog of all 1:18 scale military items released to date. Or at least the stuff the folks on this board (and myself) are mainly interested in.

I was hoping that I could represent BBI in the database with actual BBI pictures of products. You have a lot of them on your website that I'd like to use.

There are an equal number of pictures that I'm sure you have either digitally or on a catalog/slick somewhere that would be a huge help in addition to what's already on your site.

Anyway, this is my way of asking for your help in any way you can to help make the BBI portion of the database complete.

Please take a look at the site and let me know either way.

Thanks again,
Grunt1

You never know what may come of it.

for MightyMustang,
Thank you for your comments and I hope that you enjoy the 21C Avenger

for grunt1,
Interesting project...so how can we help...I need a location to send the images to...perhaps you can advise AFerg privately and I'll see what I can do to help."

I don't know if you saw the post about a bbi replacement part arriving to a member recently with a letter stating they will be releasing new figs and gear every month. :) I think every month may be too good to be true but if you look back on Augusts past it is a month that often gets brand new figs - last year the WWII paras, a few years ago the USMC...I'd say our chances are good in the coming weeks. :D

If they're regular infantry (Marines, US Army, etc) figures with the new articulation and no parachutes, I'm in serious financial trouble...

Mike since you can't directly inform us what was to be shown@SDCC, and its all that fedex dude's fault, can you at least give us hints to the product other than wait and see?

Like...does it have wings...is it new...a repaint, all new toy, figures...jet, warbird...stuff like that.

How is the tomcat?
Shin's wishlist for 1/18 and 1/32 with retractable landing gear and more:

F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle

Mike,

It's getting close to Fall of 2006, are "tentative plans" reported from Fall Toy Fair 2006 on time?

Thanks.

Go Ugly Early in 1/18 scale!

Still waiting and wishing for a 1/18 A-10 Warthog.
