Hi Mike,
thanks for the reply on the Old Crow potential mistake. If it is determeined to be a goof, is there a way BBI can make an "Old Crow" decal available for the other side of the fuselage? I thought it would be a good customer relations move and it would keep me from going through the rigors of coming up with a stencil and pulling out the airbrush  .

The reason i have some ideas on WWII aircraft is my Dad was in Naval aviation in 40s/50s/60s and knew Bob Hoover, Art Shaw, Frank Talliman, and others and i kinda grew up in the back of an airplane, from Cubs to B-17s/24s
made him upset when i joined U S Army instead of USN. but that another story.

So i guess that means we won't be seeing any new product at the show? do you know if the new figures and modern paras that have been found at TRU will be on display? Also is there going to be a woodland camo version of the super humvee?

Also any update on a UK distributer for the Elite Force/Combat command line. Will there be anything new from the combat command line this year?
Know you probably cant answer most of these questions just had to ask :)

Just want to say the more pics of the modern figs i see the more i want them they really look great and their gear just looks brilliant!!!

Note the white label strip, it says "woodland camo super humvee" Hope this helps.

thanks for posting that pic ostketten it's very interesting the super hunvee i was expecting was the usmc one with the new style driver. This is the turtle shell one released again if they had changed the hatch and given it the 50. cal and bumper from the desert one i would have got one but am not sure why they are calling it a super humvee? i was expecting a woodland camo version of this:

Thats the one I've seen in stores... Wasn't that the same one released a couple years ago when the Apaches, M1, and LAV first came out?

Mike,

I've been gone from the forum for awhile. It seemed most of the discussion was centered around aircraft and armor, which is fine...but, I'm really only interested in the figures.

I came across the new figures at TRU the other day and they were a complete and welcome surprise! Finally, carded WWII figures! (I never saw the previous WWII asst.) The modern ones in the asst. are great, too. Love the Spec Ops figure.

My questions are:

1) Will figure assortments carry on with multiple eras? I think this was a great idea. I love having a few WWII and a few Modern figs in the same asst.

2) When can we expect the next figure asst. and has the contents of that asst. been decided yet?

and lastly:

3) Any plans to make the pilot figures (such as the awesome Corsair pilot and P-51 pilot) available carded for those of us who cannot afford the aircraft?

Thanks for your time,

Jeff

We will continue to introduce "blended" lines of modern and historical figures in the EF 1/18 line.
The next new ones are not that far away..."wait and see"

We have not considered doing a pilot line ( apart from the Blackhawk crew we did previously)..I think I would need some convincing that there is sufficient demand for such a line in the market before we went there.

Hope this helps

Mike, how do we go about fitting the oxygen mask onto the P-51` pilot? I snapped mine off the helmet and tried fitting it but I was lost as to how to do so. I noticed it was glued into place as well.....was it not supposed to come off?

I also found the new figures this weekend. They are AWESOME and I definitely love the price! I plan to get some more later on. I picked up the helo pilot.

Everything is all good with it, however were his wrists or forearms supposed to swivel? Mine do not swivel, and I am assuming they weren't supposed to, or I have stuck joints. If it doesn't swivel then thats cool, however I was so used to having swivel wrists on the pilot figures, and it does affect the way he holds the gun(he holds it better in his left hand than right, and on the card he is holding it on right).

btw Is TRU set to recieve the apache and blackhawk again this year? Or the falcon? Or is the zero the only new aircraft they are set to recieve this year?
Shin's wishlist for 1/18 and 1/32 with retractable landing gear and more:

F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle

For Shin Densetsu
The mask is part of he helmet and is not intended to be removed...the look is to have it worn hanging.
The wrists should swivel...most likely just a dry paint issue...usually they turn with gentle "persuasion"

TRU will have the Falcon this year but not the Blackhawk or Apache"

That is great news about the Zero Mike. I
have 3 of them now but I would like a few more of them for projects I'm working on.

Mike,

With the night stalker pilot(the new mold) I did try turning the wrists but it was going to rip/break if I turned it any further. Is there any other remedy, perhaps using a knife to break the paint seal? And will the swivel be near the wrist or forearm?

Also is the falcon set for winter? And did TRU let you know the MSRP? THANK you for bringing it and the Zero to TRU!

Great news!!! With this news and the news of "new" figure assortments, I wonder what "new" aircraft we will be seeing from bbi at TRUs or other retailers this year?

Any hints if we will be seeing some totally new planes in Modern or WWII from bbi this year Mike?

When was the last time we got an anouncement from Mike that "something" was coming. Its usually close to the release date? I think he's due.

First up my apologies to all as it seems I have mis-informed you...I checked with Hong Kong we did actually ship 2 figures where the wrist does not turn...it was "glitch time" it seems and only 2 figures..it will not be repeated so I guess they become real collector items now.
So "mea culpa" from me.

For Scopeuk...we are still working on a UK agent...Modeler's Loft declined last week...but we will keep at things there.

for all on the F-16 in TRU...it will be assorted with the F-18 so be quick.

On new releases....well let me check my records......looks like there will be something, sometime, someplace...well..."wait and see" "
