Hello Jason
Jason, this's great news! From the consensus here, it seems it's going to be an Me-262 alright, which bodes very well with me. Ever since I purchased my 1:32 scale, I've been wanting someone to come out with the 1:18 version. I couldn't be more glad that it's AT's next release.
Your comments on accessories, unpainted F-86 versions, etc., are also very good news for me.
Once again, thank you for your time and for the great efforts of your company.

Me-262 ?
Hmmm,.....if it is,...what I think it is,...then AT certainly has potential for it,...with more to follow in the future. ..

I was going to wait until Wednesday to release these photos; however, there appears to be no need to delay. Everyone seems to know what it is, the awesome ME 262!!
We are very excited about this release. It will blow the socks off the F-86 in detail. I am not going to show you photos of the interior at this time. Not because I do not have them, but because we have to leave something for those that “do not want to know what they are getting for Xmas” kind of peoples.
If you compare the photos of the A6M2 and ME 262 you will notice that they are taken on the same table at the same time. We have had the 262 in production now for about 8 months. I have wanted to talk about it. But we do not like talking about a project until it is at the point of no return. We have reached that point with the 262. It will be produced and you will see it in your hands by summer. Once again please do not ask me for more information about delivery times. We do not want to be criticized for missing a projected date.
The first paint scheme will be Walter Novotny’s “White 8.” I think it is a beautiful paint scheme with great historic significance. Novotny was the Kommando of the first jet fighter group.
The interior will use manufacturing and engineering that has never been used in a 1:18 aircraft. This is all I will say at this time.
The photos you are looking at are of the first prototype. It has been modified. Therefore, gap lines and irregularities that you see in these photos have been fixed.
I again apologize for my photography. I am not going to quite my day job.
Hope you like it.
Regards,
Jason

Wow! Looks like my collecting days will not be quite over yet. The ME-262 is one of my favorites, and this plane should be fantastic - if it's level of detail is to indeed out-do that of the F-86! A summer release sounds good and it means we will not have to wait until 2008

"Thank you to everyone for your support on this model. We are very excited about it!! I know we will not disappoint you.
USCGSARdog, the model as seen in the photos is a prototype from around September of last year. We are adjusting the molds at this time. Adjustments to the molds are required to fix various imperfections in the injection process. In other words it has been in development for some time now.
Adam, nice try! It is your site you can do what you want. I would wait awhile. But thank you for all your help. You and Up Diddily Up Up have been wonderful to deal with. Everyone here says hello. For that matter I would like to thank and say hello to all the retailers on this site that have assisted us in offering our models to the public.
Vulgarvulture and KAGNEW, the swastika is a difficult issue. Many customs departments around the world give us troubles if we try to import goods with markings that are against their countries interests. Therefore, we are still deciding whether to offer the markings on a limited edition to US customers and decals to others. It is still up in the air. "
