HI Mike
Im not going to try to fish. I have a new Q for you, I was looking at the pics from the Fall toy show 2004 at figures.com and in the BBI Elite Force section I can see pics of 1/18 scale WWII U.S. Airborne figures that don't have the shoot and harnes they look like ground ready Paratroopers are these figures to come out or are they prototypes for the ones that did come out? I see other pics of 1/18 scale figures like a WWII U.S. Ranger?
Thank you.

Hi Mike,
A question regarding QC. I have been interested in picking up a BBI Corsair, yet even though I've seen 6 come through my 2 local Toys R Us stores, that have had finish quality problems that prevented me from taking one home.
One had a badly bent prop blade, one had a bad paint foul-up on the spinner and base of prop blades, one had missing antenna masts, and 3 had the forward shifted stenciling of the US insignia and '19' leaving the dark blue shadow visible.
I realize I shouldn't expect perfection, and have corrected many small paint problems in 1:18 over the years, but it pains me to see such an awesome plane come so close, yet have a QC problem that is beyond my meager abilities to correct.
Is BBI aware of such concerns and how are the problems being resolved?
Thanks a lot,
Rogo

Food for thought
Hello Mike:
Certainly thankful for the input and inside scoop you've been giving us for the past few days. I also am a diehard fun of BBi and its products and greatly appreciate the F-16 and 18 models.
Having said that, I'd like to suggest some form of 'animation' for the airplane products you make. Specifically, I'm talking about moving props, lights, realistic engine sound, retractable landing gears. Not that we'd have to have them all in a single model, but as many as possible would be great.
Years ago I bought a jet airplane toy for my then baby boy. I bought it only because it had moving stairs, lights and better still... the most realistic jet engine sound I've ever heard in a toy. I was inlove at once and bought on the spot. And that was twenty years ago!
I do believe that making such products would increase their appeal beyond the die-hard hobbiests set. Likewise, I believe that the marketability of such models would expand exponentially, thus bringing in economies of scale beyond those your company experiences now.
Any thoughts on this Mike?

BRAVO to BBI for giving us the accessories we need!
Mike, I would like to express my appreciation to you guys for the excellent paratroopers that came out, especailly the accessories that came with. I am a big fan of BBI 1:18 because of this, extra weapons packs have always been a favorite for me since I was a knee high GIjoe collector, they are much needed and much appreciated. I am looking forward to seeing new things from BBI
job weel done

I guess you just need me to say "wait and see" and I have to do that, but if I was you I would keep my eye on retail as you never know what shows up sometimes.

Thanks for you support of our line. We are always looking to improve our line and welcome input from consumers.
We have discussed some of the features you mention and will continue to review our options as they apply to market demand.

Unfortunately the 1:18 line is not well supported in Singapore, it seems that 1:6 is more favored.
My best recommendation would be Australian sites."

They maybe here sooner than you think. I was just looking over the chat forum at Joe Customs and there is a buzz going on about new BBI WWII soldiers being spotted at TRU. Word is they ARE NOT the paras. It was also said that they are selling for $4.99 each. There are figures from the 82nd, 101st, 29th Infantry, and a couple of rangers. Keep your eyes open troops.SGT. WOW
VERY GOOD NEWS.
I am a little upset that our recon is about 2 days late...we're losing our edge...
Now for the typical 2 week lag for the east coast....it's ok though, now that I know they are out I can wait...thank you bbi for more figures.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the info, great job in getting the info! Thank you.
Im hoping BadCat will have them soon, will BadCat get them? If their showing up at TRU's and BadCat doesn't have them now maybe he wont. I can't get them in my local TRU because of the french, the only way I get figures is to order them on-line. Is thier any way I can talk to BadCat to know if he is going to get the new BBI WWII figures? Please show some pics if any 1 can.
For Mike. Any info on this would be nice.
Thanks

New BBI Figs
The new BBI figs landed at a TRU near me recently. Very nice product! A couple rangers, some "ground-ready" paratroops (3), and a 29th infantry mortar man.
They still have all the great gear of the paratroops, just minus the parachute and parachute packs. It's a lot of bang for 5 bucks!
No complaints about them, they all looked great.
