Hehe. Mike instead of Sherlocke Holmes...I like to liken myself to Batman. God that Batman Begins movie was good..

Mike I know you work for BBI but with the mention of you knowing a close friend at PTE....do you know if they have any planes coming up in their line? (I figure since you don't work with them...you could probably tell me.

Mike lets say badcat requests a plane. An all new mold. Lets say TRU decides not to carry it, and niether does anyone else...aside a few other big etailers. And lets say this plane is kind of risky due to size(fighter size). If badcat and the other etailers promised a high amount of money up front, would BBI make the plane? This is just a "what if" scenario.

*BTW can you tell your sales people that the Navy exchanges(NEX), and Army Air force Exchanges(AAFES/BX), could sell BBI product better if their stuff is located in the toyland section during the fall/winter resets for x mas rather than the giftshop. This is where me and my brother usually find our collectable stuff...I had no idea before that BBI stuff could be in the giftshop...which mainly sells memoribillia and plaques and uniforms. This probably goes for a lot of people too...I mean even model kits are in the toyland section. And if a kid happened to come across the BBI F/A-18 or F-16 in toyland and his parents were very generous...he'd SURELY have a good x mas*.

BTW...did all the 1/18 planes undergoe a lot of durability testing to ensure that they would not break during moderate play by adult fans or rough play by kids? I think they are too beautiful just to leave on display...and they are toys after all.

And since you know Chuck Yeager...did the general himself ever request a 1/18 version of one of his famous planes?
Shin's wishlist for 1/18 and 1/32 with retractable landing gear and more:

F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle

I will mention it to him, but they are a HK based company with no US or international office and I would guess they are not set up to manage what we are doing here...but you never know.

For KAGNEW

Sounds like you are a busy guy.
I had Bob Hoovers name on my T-28 canopy frame for a few years as he flew with me a few times.
Frank was a great flyer, so is the commander of the Enola Gay...if you are into reading get a book by Bob Greene called "Duty"..a wonderful story of the man.

But even Tampa is not far enough south...keep going."

My answer for PTE would be the same as for bbi.."wait and see"

On the new tooling question..it would be doubtful that his would proceed as the numbers needed to cover the tooling costs are quite high and probably beyond someone like Badcat or similar.Even an up-front would not give us a break even.

Thanks for the comments on the bases..I'll pass it on to sales.

And yes all our products pass tests appropriate to their age grading.

As for Chuck...he has absolutely no interest in such matters...he like fishing and hunting much better."

No I am not acquainted with Steve Snider sorry to say.

for mkxiv

The image you have posted is actually the T28D of Steve Death...this is presently based as Temora and is for sale.
Mine is a similar scheme but with some difference.

And yes I am very familiar with David Lowy and the Grey Nurse...it was not always a Grey Nurse but became one when David purchased it from Col Pay...who did the restoration.
As long as they have a Merlin then they are good...the Griffon engined ones are like a mean old gypsy that is always out to kill you.

Be careful and lead well...I am a fast moving target.

for Mighty Mustang.

You will need some extraordinary size drop tanks on your Mustangs if you plan to strafe my place...even then you would not have the range...you can see my place on "Google Earth" if you like."

Mike you may think you are a fast mover inside one of your prop planes, but once you get shot down by our AAA or one of our stingers, you won't be that happy!

Once on the ground, you will be running like a screaming chiken, trying to get....and then when you are sleep depravated, hungry, cold, wet, and miserable......

the mighty RANGER will come to the rescue and "LEAD the WAY!"

What about weapons sets for the Hornet and Falcon? Considering these are two of the most versitle aircraft in history, it's odd that their weapons loadout is so meager. I'd love to have a paif of JSOW's and Paveway Mk II's hanging from my Hornet.

I remember a few months back at one of the toy shows seeing a modern Bbi figure in the army's new gray camo pattern. What was the story with that figure, and any chance we'll see a carded version of this figure?

I actually enjoy being cold, hungry, wet and miserable...thank you.

for KAGNEW

getting closer I see.

for tank duel

I was not making any secret of it.

I have been to Wanaka and know the boys there very well. Been for both the show and other reasons ( fun ones)
A pity they sold the U-bird but Ray Hanna has his there now so they are complete again

for Morian Miner

This was our 1/6 series of figures where we did the new MARPAT digital camo in Woodland, Desert and the Urban was grey...so far the grey has not been issued.

For the carded version...dare I say it?

"wait and see"

for Timbo.

Think I addressed the issue of accessory packs previously...we really have too many other things not done yet to consider them...maybe in the future. "

Question for our buddy Mike:

On the Bad Cat Aviation website....

http://www.badcataviation.com/blboxtoblhah.html

They are calling this series #3 however it looks just like the series 1 black hawk which was painted olive as well.

Can you elaborate on s3? How is it different from s1?

s1 US Army Black Hawk
s2 Air Force Pave Hawk
s3 (looks just like s1)
s4 Australian version blackhawk (got one on preorder from AUS)

Cheers & thanks for all your time & efforts. :D
One hundred and fifty three - 1:18 scale aircraft on the ceiling looks  damn good!

on the "so-called" S3 Blackhawk...I have to confess I don't know...as I was aware we were returning to the olive drab original scheme with some marking changes so this may be it.

On the S4 Australian version...as I am aware there is no such item at this time...the version for Australia is the S1. I am interested to know who in Australia you have it on order with.

for 75th Ranger

Thanks."
