Invalid session errors

Considering that I am stuck on AO-Hell dial-up, it may just be an event peculiar to my location, but:
Has anyone else been having problems with posting replies and/or PMs, and receiving a message that says "Invalid Session"?

if it shows an error message - google the error message and it usually explains what needs to be done or the problem.

Hmmm, I don't believe that's server side... how often does it happen, and is it a PHP error or just a browser error?

That is what I am not clear on--the error appears as part of the forum interface, the same way "message sent" is displayed when sending a PM, but it may be because the AOL connection sometimes times out on the server or otherwise breaks the connection. Likewise, sometimes if I click "submit" more than once (allowing the screen to refresh after each try), it takes after a couple times. But it does happen with virtually every post.

It may be some bad interaction between AOL (especially a slow dial-up connection) and the php programming; I have never had the problem at work. It only started since upgrading the site, so it may be part of the growing trend that spells eventual doom for those of us who can't get reasonable broadband service, as web software becomes increasingly broadband oriented.

Not a big deal: it still works--just not as smoothly. And that is what counts. I was just hoping someone might have some insight or suggestion for correcting it.

And P51--it's nice to see you active on the boards again!

I've been getting that message too many times to count. I wind up forgetting what I was going to write and never making the post. I had to use Firefox to get this one through.

BTW, I use a high-speed cable connection. NO dial-up.
