Pirate First Class. It's part of the ranking system based on posts that's been in affect since back when this forum was on ezBoards.

Moving this to Forum Threads....

It means Private First Class. Witch is one step up the rank ladder from private and before specialist or corporal. And when I got out of the army pfc stood for proud freakin civillian

That's fer sure...that's fer DANG sure!

In one of my favorite WWII films, Battleground, Van Johnson's character Holley joked that it stood for "praying for civilian".

While in AOCS (Aviation Officer Candidate School) and Flight School with the USNavy, we held the rank of PO2 (Petty Office 2nd Class), or E5 before getting Commissioned as an Ensign/O1. AOCS lasted 3 months, thus the "90 day wonder" designation/tag. :D
