There is nothing wrong with being slow, soon enough you will be proficient in reading and writing English. It just takes time. :)

Hello all,
I'm new to this forum as well as the 1:18 aircraft. Bought my first one last weekend, the Bunker Hill Corsair from 21st, and I'm getting the Marines dream, and green zero from bbi here in a few days. Yes you could say I'm hooked already. My main area of interest is Naval aircraft of WWII, but I like all aircraft. My father was an engineer and when I was growing up he worked on everything from the L.I.M, F-111's, F-16's, and we did a stint in Iran ('73-'76) while he worked for Bell Helicopter.

The new avenger looks great and I hope the Pacific version is out soon, (heck I haven't even seen the Atlantic version here yet) My step mom's dad was a rear gunner in one durring WWII.
I would really like to see an F6F in 1:18.

hello

Jay checking in. Most of you know me already but hey anyways - and hey any newbies.

So yeah, I'm from Auckland, New Zealand. I've been collecting for about a couple of years now. I still remember the day I saw my first xd plane (although at the time a didn't realise what I was looking at, and only had the chance to glance at it from afar). It was a P-51, so I went home that day trying to google it on the net. All of a sudden a whole new (money sucking) world opened up to me - and well here I am 7 planes and 1 tank later (I still collect 1/18 cars as well). I would love to have more but prices are pretty silly down this way (the only viable option is etailers, but postage costs are up there).

Thank you P51! I can now lurk in peace!!

I collect mainly the 1:18 scale planes, like anything with wings! I also selectively take on normally one of each 1:32 scale plane series, with an occaisional re-paint if it is really cool! I might be doing more of the 1:32 in the future, but try not to get any that replicate what I might have in 1:18.

And I have been doing the FOV 1:72 die cast series and loved, Loved, LOVED the Matchbox 1:72 from a few years ago. But otherwise I don't do much die cast.

Thank you too P51! I was finally able to register after lurking for a month! I collect 1:18th scale ww2 planes and armor. I like to get one to save and one to mod when I have time. I just started collecting so I have a ways to go. I have some friends who have cnc machines and are great with models so I hope to have some mods available in the future. Thanks for reading this! Well I am glad to say I've finally been able to register here. I've been looking for a forum for 21st Century and BBi products but never found this place till recently. And when I did find it I couldn't even register!! RRgghh! But all is good now.

Mostly I am a heavy vintage Star Wars collector and also pick up the modern line. Regarding 1/18 military, I am a big fan of US WWII aircraft and modern Navy jets. I've got almost a dozen 1/18 scale planes and lots more in the smaller scales ranging from 1/32 to 1/144. I prefer 1/48 overall, lots of options in that scale. I've collected 21st Century since S1 at TRU and just recently picked up my first BBi piece (Hornet).

Im looking forward to posting here and keeping up to date on what is coming out. I am really anticipating the Hellcat release!

Mike

Hi Everybody,

I found out about the site about a month ago from a friend, and was finally able to register. I kept all my Marx Toys playsets from when I was a kid and started collecting again seriously in the late 90s. One of my bedrooms is full of stuff. I collect pretty much all scales and different makers, but my favorite is 21st Century stuff. It freaks my wife out big time. LOL. Anyway, looking forward to reading the threads and hopefully getting to know some of you. See ya around.
