Problem sending PM

OK I've been gone quite a long time and the boards' been updated so there's probably an easy answer for this but I can't find it. When I send a PM, it appears to go to my 'outbox' rather than the 'sentbox'. To me it looks like it hasn't been sent to the recipient but is waiting to be sent. When I write I hit the 'send' button, not the 'save' button. Is there something going on here I don't understand, or should I mark it up to user error....??

The PM you sent stays in your "outbox" till the intended receipient opens and reads it on his end, then your PM will transfer to the "sent" folder.

Your PM is fine and working, just waiting for the other member to read it

Ok, I get it, thanks. Back when I was a kid (LOL), once we put mail in the box, it was gone!
