Since when does the forum automatically assume I want to "watch topic"
whenever I post something? Now, whenever I start a new post or make a comment, I get email whenever there is any activity on the thread- whats up with this? I thought one had to manually click a box if they wanted to be notified of any activity- not just visit a thread or make a comment

That's true, but it's also a setting in your options/profile. Somehow maybe it got checked?

I unchecked it in the profile section- not like I activated it there anyway-we will see.

I usually want to watch any forums I post in. Then I don't get notification, i might get notified the 1st response, but after that nothing.
I notice this with a bunch of forums not just this one. Is this a common forum bug?

I like this site a lot, but even though I checked the box if there is replies or activity on a thread, I get no notification.

it seems to come and go like that, rightnow I am i a pretty solid span of notifications
