William Hudson is best known for co-starring in the 1958 cult classic ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN where he played the unfaithful husband who was killed after his revenge-seeking wife was turned into a 50 foot giantess by an alien in a UFO. He may also be known to sci fi fans as Capt. John Phillips, the original commander of the submarine Seaview in the tv pilot for VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA, who was killed off early in the pilot. Hudson returned to co-star in the episode "The X Factor" as Capt. Shire, who was also killed off by using the same footage from the tv pilot, but in color. Consequently, Hudson has the distinction of being the only actor killed off twice in VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA.
