Post by boyx30 » Mon Jan 31, 2005 5:38 pm

Any of you out there collecting WWII singed prints?

I know Teamski does......Eric, what Galland print do you have?

I have a Galland Me 262, Stigler me 262/me 109 and Kohn (Arnold) P-38 signed prints plus a few artist signed as well.

I have the Galland Famous Fighters Print from SKyscapes:

http://www.skyscapes.net/famousfighters.html

It's been LONG out of print, but all of the others are still available at about $52 plus shipping from the UK (off the top of my head). I HIGHLY recommend this series, each measure 16x11 and are signed by some great aces. A must get value......

Believe it or not, the owner, who I got to talk with while in the UK is Johnny Johnson's son...........

I just lucked out at getting one of the last Galland prints when I got the series back in '91. It shows him in his 109F (yeah, that long ago,.....)

Pappy Signed Book!

Post by boyx30 » Fri Feb 04, 2005 2:20 pm

Thats a jewel!...

I have a friend who has an old (put together) model where he had Pappy sign the wings. He said that Boyington thought that was a great idea and that he had never signed wings before...

both those items are worth a mint!...or priceless to the collector themselves.

Teamski, very cool Link!...I may be ordering a print or two...thanks

That is sweet indeed. My buddy Mike in the UK gave me a 1st edition "A Bridge Too Far" book with no less than 19 signatures of British paratroopers who were there, including his uncle who knocked out a couple tanks at the bridge! He then gave me a print of the battle with another 16 signatures on the back and Col. Frost's signature on the front. I still don't know why I am so fortunate............
