P-61 Black Widow to Fly Again!!

Post by Charlemagne » Wed Jul 04, 2007 7:42 am

Sorry Aferg if this has been posted before, but I'm a huge fan of P-61's and this musuem up in Pennsylvania I believe has recovered and is well into restoration of a P-61 to flying status. They now have it on its own fully refurbished landing gear. Anyway, there is some great pics and info about this bird. Here is a link...... http://www.maam.org/p61/p61_pr_0506.htm

The restoration, I can't wait to see this in the air and a 1/18 widow on my shelf.

No doubt!! That one is in pretty good shape too! We oughta send in an MH-47 with NVG's and snag it out of there....

Holy cow I just caught on to this thread. I love the Widow, as a matter of fact I'm waiting on my P-61 model to come in. An awesome aircraft, I had always hoped to see one fly in person!
