Sooo... what do you get when you have the very first public F-22 Raptor demo and a Naval base that's basically on the coast?

VAPOR
... F-22 Style.

They can't break the sound barrier at airshows... save for Edwards AFB airshow, but that's at 30,000 feet and well out of visual range unless you have a telescope.

Great photographs, but that's not the first public Raptor demo  I saw one fly at the Edwards AFB airshow back in 1998, and it was an early production version 8)

That was a demo fly-by flight... this was the first ever TAC demo. They just formed the 'official' F-22 demo team earlier this year.

Thanks for the clarification. There was a picture of an F-22 at that same airshow in my local paper today as well 8)

That's very cool Britt. One of my favorite aviation pictures of all time is the one of an F-18 Hornet just at the point of breaking the sound barrier. Keep taking those awesome pictures. All of us here
appreciate them very much.
