Hi Guys
I had some pictures of a PZL P-11 and a PWS P-26 on my computer and thought they might be of some use to someone as a reference. There are also photos of P-6E Hawks I have online. They are in my webshots gallery.
The Polish fighters are in the "Main Gallery Section", P-6E photos have a seperate folder. Enjoy

Albatross
John,
I just always liked the Albatross. I think it is the type of plane that really tells what the USCG is all about. A very versatile, well designed and dependable airplane. I would have rather had it in the gray scheme though, but oh well.
It is one of the first airplanes I had in my collection. At one time a prop broke, the one pontoon broke. But grandpa always fixed it and that is why I keep it. It is to me a special plane to remember those moments I had with him as a younger child in his woodshop, building and fixing model airplanes. He is what got me hooked, quite literially!

Hi Corey!
Great story.... I believe that I have the same mahogany model you have...mine has "COAST GUARD, SAN FRANCISCO" on the floats. Always wanted to add the plane numbers, and MIAMI, to the nose to match the ones I flew...but gave up trying to find the proper numbers and letters decal sheets on the internet. I have a picture taking off from Biscayne Bay, but could only send it in a e-mail (never figured out how to post pics in this forum!)
Is that the Catalina next to it that you were offering? Still have it? If so...I might want it!
Take care...always good to hear from you.

yup
Hi John,
That is the same model I have of the Albatross. I strangely enough don't remember who actually got it for me, I assume my grandfather, but not sure anymore. I know it is old and it has lost some of its luster. I also have a homemade B-17 he made me as a child. I'll take a shot of that sometime too!
He's still alive and in good health, but he is retired and my grandmother and him travel a lot now. He still flies R/C now and again, but has even scaled that back. He has a rather large collection of airplanes himself which I will probably inherit once he passes on, which I hope is not anytime soon.
I think I am going to hang on to the Catalina. I was seriously thinking of selling off all my models about a month ago. But some people on this board changed my mind. And for the good too! But I am glad you got the P-40 and love it. I had no room for it anymore and had to give up a few
