You guys have got to check this site out. There are some great photos of homemade american gun trucks being used in Iraq today, and even a how to build a guntruck section. Also worth looking through are photos of WW2, and Iraqi armor found in Iraq. Here is the link: http://client.webshots.com/user/irocarmy88

I've seen some of those pictures of the WWII vehicles they found. Very wierd. I can't remember another site I saw, but that had pictures of the M-24, plus a M-4 Sherman recovery vehicle and a British Chruchill. Somewhere I recall hearing that an old French/US Renault tank from WWI was found, though that may have been in Afgahnistan...

...hey, guys, thought i would comment on some of the wierd armor found in iraq. i saw firsthand and close-up several american m 113's in iraqi service, mostly abandoned near baghdad as we moved in though a few had battle damage, etc. also heard from very reliable source a sighting of an m 4 sherman in iraqi service and, suprisingly, a big rumor went round the unit in april 03 as we occupied eastern baghdad of a "tank factory" where iraqi armor was being refurbished/upgraded of russian t-80's found there... this was unusual since they technically should not have been there since strict sanctions were imposed after desert storm. i can't confirm one way or the other as i never got the chance to see them myself. i did see and have a picture of brand new, in the crate "panzerwehr" rockets made for a small vehicle with launchrails on the turret which i did'nt recognize, the rockets being a violation of the sanctions from our german "friends" who opposed the war...
