Oh for G***s Sake!!Could I be put in charge of ship names PLEASE??One of the Zumwalts is more appropriate or a Tanker/Stores ship NOT a Carrier.Bring back Lexington,Saratoga, Coral Sea or Midway!

he was killed on the USS Liscombe Bay (edit) when it sank. It seems sort of fitting to me

He was KIA when his ship USS Liscome Bay CVE-56 was torpedoed and sunk by a Japanese submarine.

you are correct on that one good sir, I probably should havae slept instead of being up late when i commented. Anyway I don't necessarily see anything that wrong with the ships name. Now if it had been named for someone more controversial I would say something. I personally wouldn't mind seeing naming conventions going back towards a similar naming scheme to the one we had during WWII. Especially considering for some reason the US Government thought naming two USNS ships for the Delta operators, it makes no sense to me. Why not name a USASOC training center for them like a sniper course or urban warfare course.
