Glad the pilot made it down safely... something like that just takes a month or two to get them flying again.

We lost our F6F-5 Hellcat just recently last year on the east coast along with a rather famous reno racer pilot. She (The Hellcat) was having some problems, and so they were going to clear a highway for her to land. Unfortunatly, there were some more problems and the Hellcat ended up clipping power lines twice. The first time it was okay, but the second time they got caught and sent the right into the area between the lanes of the highway which was VERY rocky. Both the pilot, Art Vance (who owns a P-51D Mustang called 'Speedball Alice') and the Hellcat didn't make it.

Crap. This just kills me hearing about another warbird getting trashed. I didn't even hear about the Hellcat. Irreplacable........
