Remember when US Destroyers were named for US Navy,US Marine and US Coast Guard heroes?Oh well.

The article states that Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus said Sen. Levin is, "an American hero."
Other Navy ships named during the Mabus tenure include the USS Lyndon B. Johnson and the USNS Cesar Chavez.
