Must see video Raptor and Mustang heritage flights

Post by CessnaDriver » Thu Nov 24, 2005 8:23 pm

These are awesome. Other aircraft too. Had to share.
Made by one of the heritage flights pilots.

I have seen these heritage flights at Miramar and Nellis.
Much appreciated. And a good reminder exactly why our skies are free.

Impossible for warbird fans to not get choked up on this one.

A lot of other great vids at this site.

That first video... wow. That's one of the most amazing videos I've seen done with aviation. Gorgeous.

I've had the supreme honor of seeing many heritage flights performed over the years at various airshows. From Edwards to Nellis, Miramar to Point Mugu, Chino to Riverside. It will never cease to amaze me on how far we've gotten from World War 2. It's a constant reminder of why I love aviation past and present, why I love what the military stands for, and why I've dedicated so much of my life to help the preservation of Aviation History.

That video is a keeper for sure.

Truly amazing videos. I literally had a tear in my eye!! The 5 plane formation was just incredible! How you keep an F-4 from stalling out in a turn while keeping station on a P-51 is beyond me.......

Thanks for sharing that. I guess exceptional would be the word for it. It makes me proud to be in the USAF....... :)

I believe those videos are by Lee Lauderback, a well known P-51 pilot. I think he co-owns Stallion 51 down in FL, where new pilots can get checked out in a mustang. Very cool videos. My absolute favorite is the National Anthem. So cool....it gives me shivers ever time i watch it!
