China's aircrft carrier
China launched it'a first carrier today. It was a partially finished old Soviet carrier. Small in comparison to US carriers. Nevertheless, here we go.....

I think this what the Refit would look like... just my opinion.

Well that's almost racist.... I like it!RAD 2112 wrote:I think this what the Refit would look like... just my opinion.
A helicopter does not want to fly, it just vibrates so much that the ground rejects it
Re: China's aircrft carrier
I don't know if I'd call it racist...
It has a traditional look; bridging the past and the present.
I'd almost expect to see that on "The Last Airbender".
How cool would it be to see that coming out of a fog bank?
China says first aircraft carrier entering service

Re: China's aircrft carrier
I saw a program on different civilization's turning points which changed their histories and hence altered world history.
During the Ming Dynasty the Chinese had huge treasure ships over 400 ft. long and they went on voyages to Africa etc.
Then, the political climate changed and all of these huge ships were scrapped. Who knows where China would be today if they had pursued this course. Instead England, Spain and other nations enjoyed the fruits of exploration, discovery and world conquest.
