That's a cool site. I could spend hours looking through it.
Is it just me or do the Ruskies have a great sense of humor?

Some might call it a gallows humor, but yes, I've noticed it too... Russians are not always the stony faced humorless lot they have been portrayed to be. The blog gets updated pretty much daily, and I try to check in a couple of times a week, there's always something interesting to see there.

They've got a lot of pics of abandoned military hardware too which is cool.
D'ya see the giant Ekranoplan?

There is plenty of ex Soviet military hardware to see, like crumbling missile silos and that sort of thing, but there's also a lot of what I would call "human interest" stuff, the kind of things that give you a little bit of a window into daily life, the history and culture etc. of the country and it's inhabitants. To the average American, Russia and it's people are very much an enigma, almost like an alien planet, and sites like English Russia are a good place for those who are willing to take the time to explore a little bit to gain some knowledge and insight into a nation that occupies 1/6th of the earth's surface.
