F-4 Phantom and the SUU-23 Gun Pod question

I have read that the USAF had the SUU-23 Gun pod installed on their F-4s in Vietnam when they realized that their missiles were useless at close range.

Was the SUU-23 also used by the Marines or Navy?

As far as I can tell no, except that apparently a few USMC Phantoms had the pods for strafing. The pods were a sort of stopgap solution I believe, and were subject to high drag that produced undesirable oscillations at high speeds, and were eventually replaced by the internal gun in the nose. I have an excellent resource on the Gun Nosed phantoms, Warbird Tech Series Volume 8. Hope this helps some.
