Does anyone have any detailed info on the B-17G Flying Fortress "Carolina Moon", 490th Bomb Group?

Isn't that a B-17 who shot down an ME-262?

GOOGLYDOOGLY:

Yes. The only real info I found on the Carolina Moon was the ME-262 and it replaced a B-24 with the same name.

I assume the B-24 and B-17 were named after the 1940 Gene Autry movie/song, but I'm still looking for more info on the Carolina Moon's crew, etc.
