Thought I'd post this here for you all... I just put up 588 images (of the 2,717 I shot at the show) from the October 16, 2004 MCAS Miramar Airshow. Unfortunatly, heavy rain stopped me from going on Sunday, Oct. 17... but it cleared up nicley on Saturday just in time for the Blue Angels (my idols when younger). Ever since MCAS El Toro closed in 1997, I've missed the big military base airshows... so it's always a thrill to head over to Miramar and 'relive' the El Toro expierience. (Long long long walk from your car to the show area, walking through a base while aircraft are doing demos in the distance, seeing the McDonalds on base, etc.). Some of the very first memories I have are of REALLLLY old El Toro Airshows.
