I found this blog while looking for DAK reference shots. It is pretty extensive, covering a huge chunk of what happened in the desert. The best part is, it's still active, so there will be more to come. I have to warn you though, if you have a slow connection, or slow computer, this page will be a pain in the butt to view.

Thanks for the link.
Some really great pics and info.
There is a great deal of Italian info.
Did they participate much in the North Africian campaign with the Germans?

They were there during the entire time the Germans were, and about a year or so previous. The Italians were there in larger numbers, but the reason the Germans get all the glory is because they were able to field 3 armored divisions with relatively decent tanks in N. Africa, while the Italians were only able to field one I believe, their Ariete division, which was equipped with far outclassed tanks (M13/40s etc). The Italians were mainly used in defensive roles, or as reserves once the DAK arrived, as their fighting potential was seen to be lacking in German generals eyes.

Well I didn't read much of it, just looked at the profiles and pics. 8)

The last vehicle is super-cool. Wish someone made a 1:18 or 1:32 of that:

The landwaserschlepper. It was intended as a vehicle to be used in Operation Sea Lion, the proposed invasion of England. I think there were only a few made, if not just one.
