Unit Info-559th

Do anyone have any information on the German 559th panzerjager abt?
Any period would be great.

Where the unit fought at what time...battles involved...types of vehicles.

give me a day or so and I'll see how complete I can get unit info.
I know they had Jagdpanzer Vs during '44 in NorthWestern Europe off the top of my head..but that's about all I remember of the unit.
I'd have to go to the books to get more.

This information seems to be repeated alot. "First Jagdpanthers were issued to schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 559 and 654 and reached the frontline in Western Europe in June of 1944. Only 654th had full compliment of 42 vehicles, while 559th had only 10 to 14 vehicles. "

From a Battle of the Bulge game site.:
39th Fusiliers supported by assault guns of the 559th Panzerjaeger battalion engaged US forces of CCR 9th AD. The attack began late after a heavy smoke screen and delayed arrival of the 559th Panzerjaegers and ended with a force of US engineers withdrawing, and heavy fighting between elements of the regiment and US armored infantry. The 559th was engaging US armor along the main road and edge of town.
From what I have found it looks like the 559 saw combat in the Battle of the Bulge and possible on the Eatern front. According to one source it wasn't involved in the Normandy campaign.
It was equiped with JagdPanthers, JagdPanzer IVs and Stugs.
