WARNING: some people might find this video disturbing...but not me
Canadian Snipers in action versus the Taliban in their craggy redoubt. Using .50 Caliber rifles...one shot..one kill. These boys are good...one record book shot was made at over 2400 meters, the previous record was held by none other than Gunny Carlos Hathcock.

Yeah, read about this in a Canadian news magazine quite a while back. Apparently, some folks were upset as they felt that these amazing snipers deserved a medal. I have to agree, our military often does't seem to give credit where credit is due.

apparently the bullet fired in that record shot dropped a total of146 feet during its flight trajectory. So, in other words the shooter had to sorta aim 146 feet above the target. Plus there was wind and even the earth's rotation to factor in. Sniping is quite an art.
"That's about 1.5 miles. The bullet was in the air for four seconds and dropped 146 feet. About 250 meters longer than Carlos Hathcock's famous shot."

Very impressive indeed, consummate professionals without a doubt. The awesome destructive force of the impact of a .50 cal. projectile was something to behold as well.

They aren't going to look very good when they meet their 99 virgins. Or should I say meat?
