For anyone interested, here are a few photos of the 501st Tiger Battalion Tigers (which I am modeling my custom after). The noteworthy differences between these and the Tigers of the 504th Battalion(the only other Tiger battalion stationed in North Africa) are the cut down/slightly angled front fenders and relocated headlights. The photo of the rear shows the angled exhaust heat shields that were present on 501's Tiger tanks. These pictures were located with a quick Google search and I hope to locate a few more.
Oh, before I forget, the 501's Tigers were Initial Production whereas the 504's were Early Prodution. Among other things, this means no escape hatch on the right hand side of 501's Tiger tanks.
A request here as well. I've come to realize that the turret stowage bins on the 21C Tiger are incorrect for Intital Production as well. Is there anyone that has the Dragon 1/35 North Africa Tiger that can take a few photos of the stowage bin from various angles? Thanks in advance.
