..... and a dip made from olives, some semidried tomatoes and some rohschinken (raw air dried ham) on the side as well.

For me a good bread is perfectly fine just on it's own, especially one fresh from the oven, yum!

I'm on a really limited diet at present and this thread has been making me hungry all day

Blaster, Phil! Thank you very much for your invitation! Yes, I always go to France via Belgium (always? it was only one time...) and always taste some of "500". And also the great pralines "Leonidas" (strange association: Leonidas + 500. Could the Spartans win when the the number of them was 500?).

It is significant that we started this topic by the Czech army and end it (maybe not yet...) by beer... I feel the spirit of Czechia, the spirit of the Good Soldier Svejk!

On the other hand, come visit Poland! Especially Krakow (I studied 11 years there, so it is my second city). We have neither 350 kinds of cheese nor 500 kinds of beer. But we have 200 x 200 in Krakow. What is this? The dimensions of the biggest in Europe medieval market place (in meters)! There is the only saved PZL P-11c in the Aviation Museum, too.

Well, the topic changes to "Food and Drink. Nutrition in Patients with Small Scale Syndrome. A Cohort Study."
For our freedom and yours
